Definitely get a stall first. The fun factor even on a stock cam is by far the best mod in my opinion. I purchased a 3200 stall before doing a cam. Will forever stall all my vehicles first lol

I'd say it really comes down to do you use the truck as a truck and tow, or do you street/strip weekend warrior it. Or you just cruise and show it off at car shows and want a hot rod. What your doing the most with it is what you need a cam around. Just my .02

Do the stall first. You'll thank us later.

The transmission can be out in 30min if it's on a lift. It really isn't that hard.

I've got a CircleD 3200. It flashes to about 3500 with my new motor.

With 4.10s, it's definitely "fun". The cam that came in the longblock was a 216/224, .551/.551 @ 113.

For you, if you are hellbent on the cam, keep the duration under 220 and with ls6 springs, you're limited to mid .500 lift.
