need help with cam for l92's
got a 6.0 with l92 heads and truck intake. truck has all the bolt on's and 3600-3800 converter with 410's. what kind of cam would make great power and still obtain driveability? ive been looking at the thunder racing and tsp cams

You do realize you need about half that amount of cam to make good power on that setup. The L92 intakes dont flow after 6300ish, so no point in having monster cams like that. Plus, that square port head will not like that large duration and will run like crap down low.

here is my helper and my list of cams I was chosing from.
I ended up going local and getting the livernois stg I(224/230 .58's 114lsa), but GM hightech tested their stgIIR? and got some good results.
Pulls hard, you'll be glad you had the converter. I am in the 13's now, with more left to tune. I would listen to skeet too, his L92 set up was running REAL good.

i have to disagree on the L92 not flowing past 6300. my cam and dyno graph can prove a Stock L92 (its milled, NO PORT work) Stock truck intake, Stock 90mm TB my truck never has a dip in power till 6900ish rpm. i understand the 6.0 vs 6.2 but the top end is what your saying falls off. my cam is a 228/236 112+2 its been 13.0 @ 104.2 bump shifting the 1-2 so bad it chirped my DRs. i also have 3" exhaust vs the 3.5" those heads love. im at full weight of 5700-5800lbs and i run with 3/4 tank of gas, tail gate, tow package, spare.
i had a 3200 converter but it wasnt enough so now i run a 3600 and its a lot easoer to drive
hes already wanting to run a 3600/3800 converter so that makes up for the cam.

not trying to hijack the thread.. but if a cam has for example +2 or +3.. advance does it mean u could advance it by 2 using an adjustable chain and gears.. or is ok if u just bolt it in there.. im doing a lifter swap tomorrow.. and i have a cloyes gear/chain set as well that ill put in after seeing many LS3 chains that break and cause mass destruction i may consider adjusting the gear to get more low end maybe..
