i guess when i look at the price of them it seems like alot.
But i never really added up all the parts for a good cam swap, then to get it installed.
Eitherway something needs to happen.

im running 3:73s with 28in tires. Pulls really good till 4k then starts to just plain out.
Makes me think i under geared?

You need a good cam. Something like a 212/218 would be good for you and not too aggressive. Add around a 3k stall and youll be near 13s. But if youre not installing these parts yourself, youre looking at around 1k for cam and another 1k for convertor.

yep, just wondering.
I went from 3:23s on a 32 inch tire, to 3:73s on a 28 inch tire all at once really, so i guess i need to get use to it.
Looking to do a tr224/224 112lsa. 3200 Circle D. ls7 push rods, ls2 timing chain set up, valve springs
Recommended this by a few guys for a DD set up.

You're probably gonna need more stall than 3200 for that 224/224. I just went away from a tsp 224/224 to a 210/220. The 224 didn't start to pull till 3600 in my truck, and its a scsb. I do have 241 heads, but the stock heads will probably yield about the same results. The 224 sucked big time for towing. Just towing my bass boat it struggled up even small hills and guzzled gas doing it. At low speeds I had to tow in third gear half the time. The truck doesn't know the boat is there with my new cam.

not looking for a tow setup. I tow a 21foot aluminum bay boat maybe 3 miles to the boat launch
210 sounds pretty close to stock though. I dont mind more of a stall as long as its pretty loose.
