hmm, this is the stall i am currently running now with a na 5.3. i plan on spraying it next year though i might wait now and run the 3400 billet stall after reading this. i want something thats gonna eventually handle a 6.0 h/c/i with about a 100 shot. for the op, i dd a 3200 and would still def dd the 3400 easily. alot of people still dd 3600 and higher but that would be a litlte much for my taste i think.

tr220 110lsa 4 degrees advance. the 214 564lift seems way small for a ls6 head even for a 4.8. And did you mill the heads? if not your like 9.2?? cr witch is way to low to even put a cam in unless you got a 3500+ stall. The other cam is good too tho

The compression on this motor is 9.4.and how much should i mill the heads? and do i need to use a thinner head gaskets? How much compression do i need to get the most out of that cam?

Skip camming the 4.8 and do a 6.0 swap. A stock 6.0 will outrun a mild cammed 4.8 and have a ton more low end torque. Almost everyone who cams a 4.8 ends up doing a motor swap to more cubes and especially with a crew cab I'd skip the cammed 4.8 stage.

Well,i have a 02'6.0 block and heads but no rotating assy.so for now the 4.8 will have to do.until i can save up more money for that 6.0 build.

Don't waste your money on the cam, put it towards building the bigger motor. The part throttle tq of the 6.0 is awesome compared to the little 4.8.

Damn I didn't realize this was in a ecsb or a four door... I agree, I would save money for a swap.

<-this truck in my avatar is the one.you guys talked me into it,i will go with the swap since its gunna take more than a cammed 4.8 to move that beast.i will start my search for that rotating assy.
