Default New To 5.3L Need Cam Choice Advice Guys

Ok so i had an ls1 with 120k in my camaro i put a decent sized cam in it and it shattered two valves within one day of driving. Great... It messed up the bottom end and i had to fork out the money to have the bottom end repaired and i then put the ls1 hot cam in it figuring it would hold it seaped compression and the crank gave out. Long story short i havent been able to drive my car at all for a year because of this crap and im tired of fixing it for 6 months and it breaking in a day.

So i bought a complete 5.3L with 50k on it and am putting in there. However before i did since the motor is out i wanted to know if there was a SMALL yet benificial cam i could put in that i could keep the factory pushrods and just do the cam and springs ? or just cam? something small thats focus is RELIABILITY. I have a 2800-3200 stall going in as well. I dont wanna have to worry bout getting a tune right a way because funds are short. Keep that in mind when picking out a cam.

SIde notE: atm the leading candidate is an LS6 Cam and springs but im not sure if u can use stock push rods? the other issue is i cant find one for sale

I appreciate the help in advance
Other mods ar LT headers, 3200 Stall , LS6 Intake

Both above cams are great, also look into the 220/220

Also, go ahead and do springs and hardened pushrods
