I've got 243's milled .020" with .040" cometics, I did .060" fly cuts on the lq4 when I was building it, I had enough clearence to run "the texas giant" probably if I wanted to...

That's awesome...I keep reading of guys upping the duration of their cams and not losing low end. I wonder if it's a GENIII thing, or possibly a tuning thing, as upping the duration on the sbc's that I grew up building always had an affect on low end. These engines were all carbureted though, and the tunability wasn't as precise as our EFI GENIII's

I don't think there is much you can do to kill the lower end when you have a big stall and a deep gear though...

The 224/230 114 is a custom grind and I've yet to install it. I plan to here soon though, but I need to check PTV as I know I'm close so hopefully I have enough clearance.

MPFD thanks for the info.

Who's grind (Comp, Lunati, EPS, etc.), and what's the lift, if you don't mind me asking...again, sorry for the hijack...

It's not going to impress anyone, but I'm not sure, I haven't had it to the track yet. My guess is low 13's, I wanted an 01-up (alot better running engines) but I got this one for a price I couldn't refuse. It will be faster yet but for now that's all she can do. Like my brother said, we're going to SRCA the 18th, but I'd also love to come out to KID on the 5th, we'll see I guess.
