That was warmed up. Some guys were filming a video at work and I pulled up and saw them shooting film and had them film a start and idle. It was faster at colder engine temps. But warmed up it was right at about 600 rpm.

how did the flycutting go? i may have to rent that tool from you. haven't degreed and set it up yet to see if i need to flycut but i think i will have to. the combo is lq4, 243's milled .040, stock valves, .051 gasket, 238/246 .605/.614 110+2.

Lance, that is almost exactly my long block combo, but I did a little less milling and a thiner Cometic gasket.. My cam is 236/244 .617 .614 110 straight up. I wasn't suspose to need to fly cut but I already had it done. I'm betting your will clear...

Ok but you guys have to remember that I did it first!

I'm gonna have to come down to your tracks to enjoy some wicked DA's cause I'm sure mine won't run as fast up here...

that's great to hear. i will still check though, got the adjustable pushrods and checker springs. will report back with my findings. they say respectively .080 on intake and .100 on exhaust.

You can get away with a little tighter than that if you're running stout springs. Any reason why you stuck with a thick headgasket? Lots of nitrous planned?

only way to tell is to measure. the tools havent made it in yet, but it all seems straight forward. my biggest clearance issue was the larger 2.02 intake valve. exhaust needs to be cut on mine too. the LQ4 dished pistons may give you enough room though.
