I am spining my engine to 6500 with stock retainers. If you only want to spin your engine to 6200 only, get a 212/218 instead.

i know alot of you will disagree and say that using the stock retainer with the 918s is perfectly fine and while i don't disagree with you, if i had used the stock retainer mr. murphy would have showed his ugly mug the first time i nailed it. if he didn't, me and mr. ****/ocd would have been paranoid about it until i wound up changing them out. fwiw.

You know, I was happy with the 30 stock keepers, and 2 comp cams till I got my new heads, and then I was going to sweap them all out, not you have me worried too.

How much do the comp retainers run? I'll be getting my heads soon, and may as well go with the comp retainers with the keepers, and springs.

I Have Spun My With Stock Retainers To 7400 For A While. But With The Cam You Are Looking Into Putting You May Want To Just Get A Set Of Rod Blots And Put Them In Instead Of Retainers. I Think Rod Bolts Around 80.00 And Only Take About 2 Hours Tops.
