If stock powdered metal rods have been proven to 700+, then I think even forged steel Scat I beams should go 800+ on an FI motor. You can get more HP with FI out of components like rods, because you don't have to spin as many rpm to get the HP. RPM is what fails rods NA.

my current 5.3l has a loud tick that comes and goes. i have tried lifters, push rods, cam, and oil changes and i have a big move next year so i want to not have to worry about it. going 5.3 to 5.7 does not cost the same. 5.3l pistons require a $50 hone job 5.7l pistons require a $200 or better bore and hone job.
so these i-beams from scat. whats the diff between them and the h-beams? whats the advantage of one over the other?

the pistons are the same price. $525 iirc. it will cost $250 plus to bore to 5.7l. i break **** cause ***** weak. lol two broken axles and a few transmissions. last tranny i broke, the output shaft had to be removed with a slide hammer. other than that i haven't really broken anything that comes to mind. i actually am quite easy on things. i never beat on it when anything is cold. i make sure its all at op temp before i go more than 25% throttle. i don't stall it up on the street. but when people **** me of in traffic i lay the hammer down. its nice to be able to take off beside a car doing 50mph and be able to pass it by the end of the merge lane. i only run 10psi on the streets. sometimes i hit the 12.5psi high boost switch. that's for the fast cars that i come across every once in a great while.
i don't spin past 6000rpm. turbo pulls just to that point.
