as you can see from my sig my truck already has CAI,exhaust, and custom tune. im thinking headers and cam would be the next best step to take to more HP/TQ. this would most likely be the last thing i do to the truck performance wise. first off im looking for some opinions on a good set of headers that won't break me and secondly id like to get some ideas for a mild cam that won't effect drivability. ive read that an LS6 cam wouldn't be a good choice for a big truck like mine? thanks in advance.

there are severel headers to chose from. Theres LLP and Pacesetter are on the cheaper side costing about 500 for headers and y pipe. The cam. maybe something in the low 220s to help keep you torque. The TR 220 is a good cam. Might want to look into getting a higher stall torque converter. Something around a 26/2800 stall will work out nice.

Get a 2600 stall and a 218/218 cam 550ish lift 112 lsa and use harland sharp 1.7 rockers and yellow LS6 springs. Good to go, oh yea if you get a stall a tranny cooler would be a must. BTW do you have the 5.3 or 6.0 that would open up a little more cam options to you due to more displacement.
