i know on my truck i say oil pressure when cranking , let us know if you get it when you try and prime before initial start. sucks you had to pull it though .
Yeah it's a pretty custom setup, and a pretty bad fab job. The oil pan didn't fit right when I bought it, had to be reworked, none of the holes lined up, the outer flange sticks out too far so I had to modify the starter to get it in there, the inner lip of the oil pan hit the pickup tube and the windage tray, and now I had to modify it further due to the pickup tube. If I didn't have so much into it so far, I would have gone a different route.

Biggest waste of money in the project was this damn oilpan setup.

I was dreading pulling the motor just because I was so close to having it started, but after my 3 year old went to bed at 9pm, I had the motor disassembled, pulled, and all fixed ready to go back in by 1am. Not too bad being super tired and by myself. I have my dad coming over today to give me a hand getting it back in. Last time I put the motor in myself and it took me forever to get it in correctly, so having help this time should prove to be beneficial.

Well the motor is back in and all back together. When taking off the crank pulley, I ended up breaking the pulley, so I had to order another one.

Think there is anything wrong with trying to crank over the motor without the harmonic dampener? What about idling the motor? Should I wait, or will it be ok to start it up?

Edit: Nevermind, I found one locally and picking it up tonight.

Just in case someone comes across this in a search, I DID get oil pressure when cranking once this was fixed. I have oil feeding the turbo and circulating nicely. Amazing how a little air leak can cause such a problem. It took about 20 seconds of cranking, but it eventually started flowing.

Should hopefully have the truck started for the first time tomorrow.
