Here is my take on oil analysis...
I think OA is for tweakers. If you change your oil and filter regularly then there is no need. What if you get a report back there is more than normal chrome, or silicon, or whatever...are you going to tear down right then? Anyway it's been a week or so since you sent in the sample and you've been running it just the same.
lol, peace out!

Ok...LOL . It is a bit **** but of some interest if you are planning on long drain intervals.

that's a nice report mort.
Bill, you don't know what the hell you are talking about..lol If the oil reports start showing signs of engine damage, don't you think you would baby it until you get the funds needed for the repair? Plus it will tell you just how bad your crank evap system works, and how much coolant you pushed..

I plan on getting an oil analysis done on my wife's and mom's car as part of my Amsoil experiment ( https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...oil+Experiment ) that I'm conducting...I believe that there's a place in Jersey that does it for $15 and sends you the container and such. At first I wasn't going to, but I figure why go through the trouble of pulling the valve covers and taking pics and whatnot and not getting an analysis done?
