Opinions wanted on CompCams recommendation...
Spoke w/ a rep from Comp at the grand opening of the new Summit Racing several weeks ago and this is what he has recommended:
cam: 54-414-11 269/273 216/220 .525/.532 114*
springs: 26918-16
retainers: 774-16
keepers: 623-16
1.75 rocker arm kit: 13755-kit
pushrods: 7955-16
And BTW, I plan on getting a Fuddle 3200 HP Truck converter around the same time.

you will get lots of recomndations on cams. i am no expert and only have experience with a few diferent set up's but for starters i would skip the rocker arms. they are a big waste of cash and the stockers are good units. i tried some high dollar rockers and switched back to stock.
probably go with a little more lift if your going to get a cam. 550 at least.

Looks decent with the rockers, but as Jim said, the stock rockers are pretty good. I don't run stockers because I wanted adjustible rockers, and I've seen what the stockers do when they come apart.
Without the rockers, you want some more lift and springs to support the lift. On springs I'd get enough to handle anything you might wanna run for a cam (like 924s) and only buy them once.

Thanks guys, I value both of your opinions. So, I'd be better off putting the $'s from the rockers towards a converter and get a larger lift cam and better springs than the ones listed? How about the pushrods, retainers and keepers vs the stock ones?

yea, if the 924's are too expensive to you you could get some 921's. with the stock rockers and some 918's at least you could benefit from running around a .58x lift or something in that area. im not an FI expert so i dont know what kinda lift you guys deam as ideal but 918's arent bad springs. plus once you start getting to the 921 or 924 they just get more and more brittle

Jim and Erik, is there any rule of thumb on the cam specs for a supercharger? I'm assuming that there would be diffferences just between say a Radix and a ProCharger due to their own individual characteristics, correct? VHP, which is Crane cams I believe, have one they say is hot for a supercharged application in our trucks. It is quite a bit more lift than the one that the Comp rep steered me towards.

There's really no reason to go dual springs (i.e. 924's) on a mild cam with less than .600" or lift, 918's will do just fine, and you won't have to worry about harmonics with a beehive spring.
Stock retainers and keepers are fine, but it's always good to put in hardened pushrods while you're in there. Comp's steel retainers are nearly identical to stock, so it doesn't make sense to go aftermarket retainers unless you go titanium, which I think is $9B per ounce now.
If you're getting a 3200 converter and don't mind spooling up in the RPM to get your power, you can go bigger in duration with your cam, like 218/222 or perhaps 220/224. Bigger cams also generally make higher lift available to you...something in the .550"-.560" would be good. I'd do some more research before deciding on that 216/220.
