Question piston to cylinder wall clearance with forged pistons

I ask alot of questions these days , this one is important befor I take the block to the machine shop and bore/hone the cylinder walls

wiseco pistons that I got recomend .0035" clearance

the block Im working with is a 2006 LQ4 iron block and going to 4.030 bore with it .

also what grit should be used to achive the final cross pattren ?

If weisco recommends 0.0035 I would use 0.0035.

Yes, do what they say. The day I had a '30 years of experience' engine machinist recommend more than that with Wiseco pistons, it trashed the pistons. Among other things...

Lol what I meant was if your taking it to a machine shop let them worry about the cross pattern.
