which piston would you run?

I know my bikes always liked JE stuff. I think that's what most NASCAR teams use too. Probably couldnt go wrong with any of those brands. I'd base my choice based on what material each piston is made of and the thickness of each ring and how far apart the ring lands are as said above. If you want another one to look at look at CP pistons.

x3 on the CP pistons. When i got them I was super impressed with the finish quality. The top land and unique underwebbing looks super strong. I have heard nothing bad about them. I'll be running them in a few weeks and have great faith that they won't be a weak link. They have been run in some serious builds over the years.

For years, I've always wanted some JE's, when I do a build. Largely that was w/. traditional SBC, but carries over to LS stuff as well. I always liked em cause they were lightweight & strong, but they're kinda too high of a C/R (I don't need 12:1-14:1+on pump gas) for most of what I want, therefore I'll probably run their SRP piston. It's still JE, just more wallet friendly, C/R is more along lines of what I'd want in a either a N/A or F/I build, but has less machining underneath.
But, outta the gate, Diamond has embraced LS engines. Them & Lunati were at the forefront of LS builds, altho I'd favor Lunati more for their rods & cranks, just dreamin tho. I like Manley more for rods, not pistons; seems like they'd build some burly pistons tho.
If I had to pick & I'm no builder, I just pay attn. It'd go like this in no order: CP, Diamond, SRP (JE). And I'd also look at Mahle; it's kinda cool Mahle offers a matched set w/. rings & pins. Actually, it'd probably be in that order.
See who makes a bulletproof forging in either 2618 or 4032 that fits your needs, altho I'm thinkin u wanna spray. So that'll dictate material choice too.
