I say either will hold your power. Stock LSX internals are tough. I would forge it, but dont go mahle if you can keep from it. Shop around for pistons and rods, and take it to a good builder.

It will cost you $2000-$3000 for a built forged short block, you can get you a lq9, ls1, lq4, long block for less than half. for the price I payed for my LS1 long block , I could have got a lq9/4l80e and half a good used turbo kit. but you gotta shop around for it.

It's because people listen to the wrong people, trust in shitty machine shops, and do a hack of an assembly... Daily drove my 370 for 2 years; not a single problem. Pulled it out to sell it now new owner is trying his best to blow it up

X2 on the Autotec. For his application I would recommend a custom with a .350'' deck, and drop the ring down .300'', and keep the 4032 alloy. N20 is a lot harder on pistons than boost..

Im keeping the stock internals other than pistons, the block is done and the crank and rods are ready to go. I'm just gonna go with the forged Mahle's for piece of mind and go with arp rod bolts and head studs

let me know how it turns out when u get it back together. I want to bore my lq4 out when it goes to a 370 with all forged internals and spray 350-400 on her. About to see how much spray she can handle before in goes in stock trim.
