If it was me, I'd get a low mile LY6 and do the L92 heads/intake. You already have gears and a really nice daily driver Yank stall.
Aren't the LS6 heads the same as your 706 heads but with hollow intake valves?

Thats what I was thinking too Matt... I agree with skeet for sure, just get some 706's done up right and save some cash... the LS6's bring more money just because of the valve weight and casting number. which doesnt mean anything if youre having them done anyway...
Its your build but I think I would have stuck with the GEN IV heads/ that come on the LY6. Thats just about a no-brainer. IMO.

Factory GM 2.02 Inch Intake, and Factory GM 1.57 Inch Exhaust.
PRC .650' Dual Spring Kit.
I agree that the 706 heads would be a great choice. It's the additional funds that I'm lacking. My goal was to stay within a budget including the install and tune.
We're just waiting for the "nasty" cam... Hint 110 lsa.
