whats the specs on the cam hes got? 243s would be nice but if the ported 241s outflow the stock 243s he could have the 241s more .020-.030 and get close to the same compression as the 243s, would have to do some figuring to be close. since he has dished pistons i wouldnt think ptv would be much of an issue but i dont remember the specs of the cam right off the top of my head.. its kinda like 6 on one side and a half dozen on the other..

Well, with that cam you're gonna have to measure PTV regardless. I'd imagine that cam wants a lot of compression to work it's best

i wasnt wanting to mill these heads because of the ptv issue might just go with some 243's and trade this cam for a 23x 23x cam .

Ported 241's will walk all over stock 243's.

The combustion chamber sizes aren't worth bickering about in regards to P:V clearances. 66.66cc vs 64.45cc and on an LQ4 most common folks wont mill more than .020" anyway lessening the P:V issues. Match the cam to the heads; not the other way around, especially since neither head *needs* a cam in the .6xy+ range. The Magic Stick 3 looks to be the better choice for the Corvette head selection, especially in a truck.

The ASA is a low lift cam .525 and I would think that there are better cams out there. A MS4 cam for a truck I think is a bad idea, I wouldn't run it. You will need low end to get the extra weight of the truck moving. That or ALOT of stall and gear
