I know this is off the subject but do you a Micheal Murfee he is a dirt track racer..

i just traded for some 7.35 length rods..i know im half assin it but i just want it runnin so i i got some thin to putt around town in..only have 1st and 2nd gear anyways

Put a 7.4 rod in and see where the contact of the rod to rocker are at.. Turn the motor over. You will def see what one works better..

i just kinda figured up from were i was with a stock .055 gasket going to a .040 gasket (0.015) and taking off .030 for the heads, so i just took 7.4-0.045 and it comes out to a 7.355 and figured 7.350 rods are good enough..ive lost interest in my truck and just want it running so im not payin for somethin thats setting

Ok that works to, basic math at its best I know what ya mean about the interest part, I dunno what I'm running out of first money or fuggin patience.. LOL

you should be in the ballpark. i'd still check the contact on rocker/valve.
