Forgot to mention tuned by nelson already got a retune he said that is as much timing he can give it without having the truck there. i live in chicago so thats not happening. Took the truck to the track and ran 15.2 with the stock cam and a 15.1 with the new cam im lost any ideas?

Wouldn't shifting the camshaft timing just move the powerband of the cam? Advancing it putting the powerband lower in the rpm range, opposite for retarding it.
I would expect to still see a greater performance gain, unless it was retarded 4 degrees and on a stock stall killing its power gain.

Advanced cams offer more low end torque as well, so maybe he's blowing the tires off the line.

Its dot to dot i already double checked last night im thinking i should advance it one tooth and see what happens the cam has no advance ground in to it see if that will bring my power range down.

AhhH! I thought it was a tooth off. I think something else is up. Did you make sure you were at zero lash and proper preload?
Do a quick compression test -- low compression can mean your valve train components are mistuned.
I also assumed the 111.5 is lsa? Do you know the ICL?

ICL is 110.5 and lobe seperation is 111.5 does that mean 1 degree of timing ground in? Im new at this im still learning. This cam was designed for a trailblazer ss from speed inc they ground it for a ls1 so the cam sensor would work. Could that be my prob they said it should work great in my truck.
