Ive tried everything imaginable to get the bolt out. I pulled the head and tried to get it out still NO luck. took it to a mechanic he tried to remove it still no luck. took it to a machine shop they wouldnt even touch it because they were scared they would damage the head. so i called a friend of mine that builds alot of corvette engines and truck engines and he had a set of 706 heads that he sold to me so I'm in the process of installing them now. had to remove other head, clean surfaces, wait for head bolts and gaskets etc. so I should have it done by tom. and hopefull to the exhaust shop to get my HIGHLY anticipated exhaust welded up to my new shiny LPP headers that ended costing me WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more than they shuold have. LPP headers 500$,new/used heads withh springs/valves 200$,head bolts/gaskets 150$, all the time and extra money i had to spend because of a broken manifold bolt....... PRICELESS hahahaha

Well that sucks man, but you should have slapped a good set of heads on or had them massaged a bit before they went back on..

Man I have used the mig welder/ nut trick many times and it has worked every time. I weld through the nut and put an impact or a wrench on it before it cools. Works every time. Sorry about your luck.

Man me and my buddy had the same problem. Both mine and his driver side firewall bolt was missing. Funny thing is his was there the prior days we was pb blasting it. The day the headers got here his was missing. It even gets weirder we looked at his moms 02 suburban and it's missing the same damn bolt. This should have been a recall. Either way got a great set of gaskets and no leaks out of either of them. Just be sure to re torque after a few cycles...
