Well, when I make near as much RWHP as you with the stock cam and an auto tranny, I think I'll be just fine with the exposed holes The heads are a proven 50rwhp gain over 241 castings and 30-35rwhp gains over 243/317s. And since it's CNC, every head is the same. I like this. With the added compression I'm expecting 35, maybe 40 rwhp gains after bolting them on.

Yep blue loctite and liquid sealant. I am in the process of doing that right now as well. Had oil leaking down in my #8 cylinder.
Off subject but all aftermarket ls heads have exposed rocker holes into the intake runner and as well as most aftermarket heads for any other engine. Buddy of mine bought AFR heads for his 302 mustang...same esposed rocker holes...its standard.
