Roller rockers and UD pulley/balncer?

the weight on the crank from the pulley, even our big truck version, is close to the CL and has very little effect on throttle response. don't sweat it.
FWIW- when I went from a stock heavy weight steel flywheel in my WS6 to a new clutch and the light wheel that came with it. -15lbs (IIRC, might have been more) and double the diameter of what a crank pulley is, didnt notice a bit of difference... well, other than the car was harder to accelerate gently from a dead stop in traffic. I ended up getting a stock weight FW after a few months of that BS.

With this being my wife's vehicle I have no desire to have any issues. I really want to make sure that this new powerplant works just like stock only with a lot more power. So I guess I will be working stock pulley and rockers maybe. I just don't want there to be problems or run the risk of anything having anything not work the way the factory designed it. So I guess I will be putting in the motor with a little more compression, better heads, bigger cam, 8.1 injectors, and maybe a small stall. The only issue that I am prepared to deal with is the tranny coming apart shortly after the motor is up and running.

i would def save the money on UDP and RR and put in the tranny savings fund.
i run stock RR and stock CP, and these are internally balanced engines..... my engine was built/internally balanced with the stock pulley on it, i am not going to change that for 5 hp.
good luck on the build man..

As long as this motor makes 375-400 at the wheels I will be super happy. I think with the heads, compression, and cam it should be doable. It is HirdleJ's old cam and he made 360 whp 400 tq and I will have almost a half a point more compression, and Dart 225 heads instead of factory casting heads. I wouldn't think it would make any less power than his setup other than the drivetrain differences playing games with the measured output at the wheels. I was only thinking that I needed to pull out all the stops to reach my goal. I didn't realize how many people ran the stock pulleys and rockers. Only time will tell. Thanks for the help guys
