no just keep your 5.3 and turn it in to a 5.7 or a 383.

I say go for it, if nothing else for the little bit of weight savings.

That sounds about as shady as the Cutlass deal I backed out of this weekend. A guy wanted to trade me a completely mint 83 Cutlass Calais for my Buick Roadmaster. His car was worth easily twice as much as my car. Something doesn't add up. Who on earth would trade a LS1 for a 5.3? Something must be wrong with it.

good point. I would denifitely go over the LS1 with a fine tooth comb. If it checks out alright, then go for it!

hirdlej, tell me about your roadmaster.

I'd rather get a 6.0L (which I did). The 6.0 is superior to the LS1 in almost all aspects.

Oh, I am just selling a 1994 Buick Roadmaster with an LT1. elderly owned, 97K orig miles, white, solid top, no vinyl. It is a sedan by the way. Guy on craigslist thought it was worth ttrading his 37K orig mile minted out cutlass calais. It just didn't add up. His car was worth easily 10 grand, mine about 4500 or so.

It's fishy anyways. A 5.3 block for a complete LS1 engine? Please.

its just a short block for short block swap
i took mine out cause i swapped mine in for a 408 stroker and he took his out because he blew piston # 7 and wants my 5.3 to make it into a 5,7 with all forged internals
