Default Should I upgrade rod bolts/oil pump/chain?

I picked up a 02 5.3 with 77k on it out of an avalanche for $350 bucks to run in my 2000. Im got a 216/220 114lsa cam, ls6 springs and hardened push rods sitting on the selves so Im going to put that in it but didnt know while I had it on the engine stand if I should put a few more parts at it.

-Should I bother with rod bolts?

-LS6 ported oil pump?

-Timing chain?

I dont plan on running big boost with it but maybe some cheap insurance? Then again it is only $350 dollar motor? The only one Im really considering is the oil pump seeing if something does happen, I dont want to ruin the turbo.

Im just trying to get my ducks in a row that way if I need to order somethin, Ill have it there waiting for me. Just seeing what your guys thought are.

Short answer, NO. Leave well enough alone in that department and move on

I put rod bolts in mine because at the time I planned on spinning it over 6.3K rpms on a regular basis.

I wouldn't bother on a stock motor. Just gonna be a waste of time and money.

Rod bolts are good for high RPM like KySilverado said.

Oil pump is gonna be a waste of money on a stock motor. I was running a factory pump on my stroker with no issues.

I've never heard of a timing chain breaking on one of these motors either.

Considering what I paid for the motor Ill prolly just leave it be. I just figured seeing I was already going to have the cam out and changing oil pan, that would be the time to change these parts.

Thanks for the input guys.
