buy a gallon can of carb and parts cleaner from the parts store and a plastic parts cleaning brush.....that crap will clean up really quick. It looks like you could get away with new cam and main/rod bearings for some insurance.


maybe these guys buy warrantee motors from GM? I had an ex-GF who asked me "why do you need to change your motor oil".....after driving over 12k miles with regular dino oil. Needless to say the motor smelled like a junkyard engine and the dipstick had a similar sludge on it. Her car was an 03 saturn ION...... Mileage at that oil change was 28k

I have a 2000 5.3 complete ill give you... haha, from all the trouble your gettin from this company, that sucks!
it had a slight tap in it, so i put a 6.0 in there for the fun factor..
It has 160-165k miles on it and looks new inside. No buildup whatso ever..

We actually got another one installed and running. She runs great now. Thanks though.
