problem with a blower setup like yours, you can also tap the freeze plugs in back of head and circulate it that way

Bank 2 is more of the same. Pistons seem to clean up pretty easy.

Was going to pop out #1 and #8 tonight, but my socket split and didn't feel like hunting for another, so here's #8. From what I can see the others should be similar.

Is there a sharp edge at the bottom of the cylinder? If they finished the cylinder and didn't grind a bevel on the edge, the piston will come out of the bottom of the hole and rock causing damage to the skirt (especially with a larger stroke). Did this engine sit for a prolonged period of time? Its hard to tell but that looks like rust. Can you feel a ridge at the bottom of the cylinder where the ring would have stopped in the bore?

Yes, that's rust. Been sitting for the last 2 weeks...Lol. Other than that it sat over winter. It just wiped out of the cylinder, but looks like it is in the porosity of the cylinder walls if you look at the last 2 pics below and the #8 bore pics above.

No ridges.

Here's a couple shots of the bottom of the bores and of #1 which I just popped out.
