Glad to hear your pushing on with the project Jerry! FWIW I'm keeping my 243's for the time being. As always I'll be ready to run them when the time comes! Tuned in for more info with the build. Btw, do you have a g80, true trac, or the good ole' one wheel peel?

this is just my .02 take it how you want.
stock 5.3 with ARP head studs, stock heads/intake.
ISKY cam triple 12 or the 218/218 112
swap in a 4L80e with a converter 2800-3000 thats designed for boost
take your 4:10s out and put 3:42s or 3:73s back in it if you plan to do a lot of highway racing.
front mount turbo kit from KBracing, Trick, Nelson Performance.
Fuel system upgrade
Driveshaft upgrade *1000hp or bigger imho by a real driveshaft shop*
Dyno tuned

Good to hear that by christmas you'll have some things up and going. Those cams that niff was telling have been proven very well. They have been used in applications that have gone deep into the 10's...maybe 9's (someone can prove/falsify this statement if I am wrong) I would definitely keep those in mind.
The next thing on my list of parts. (hopefully it'll be the last for a while) is a true trac. tired of this whole no traction one wheel peel ****! hah
I'll be home on wednesday, I'll hit you up when I get into town. maybe go hit up the wilderness.

give this a look.
Yeah I got my gauges in, well the boost and fuel pressure. I need to get my wideband going but I don't have a welder to weld the bung into my exhaust. I'll try and see if Colby has time to do it for me.
