So I want to run .030 milled l92's on my 408 but I also want to run a 200 shot on it until I can later swap heads and run turbo.
The deck thickness or material (whichever) won't allow the L92's to hold up to that much nitrous for too long when Milled that far. Will aftermarket L92 style heads have the same problem?
Are WCCH CNC heads just a stock casting vs going with Trick Flow? Which would allow me to do what I want?

Milling allows me to up the compression since I have -15cc pistons for the future setup.

I think your only option for aftermarket L92 Heads at this point is Mast. They do have the 3/4 inch deck thickness but they are pricey. I wish Trick Flow or AFR would offer a little competition in rectangle port heads.

Why not run them stock? Compression should be up there on a 408 anyway...

WCCH offers a StageII and StageIII L92 heads, as well as LS7 heads...I'd give Richard a call and find out what your options are and what he recommends. As has been mentioned here time and time again, he's about the most knowledgeable GENIII/IV guy there is, and an awesome guy to talk to who is always willing to take the time to educate somebody and help them out

WCCH is where I was planning to go to when I'm ready to order. I was just hoping to get some more info on what I'm wanting to achieve before I start contacting companies.

Compression with Milled L92's will be roughly 10:1 using the -15cc pistons. I did this so that I can achieve a mid 9:1 with a head swap when I'm ready for Turbo

Looks like I will be contacting him when I get a chance. I believe that an aftermarket head will have a thicker deck than the stock casting L92. So if WCCH isn't just worked stock castings I can use a set from them. Otherwise I'll need to find a set of aftermarkets with a thicker deck.

I honestly think you will be fine with stock thickness for just a 200 shot. Most guys on tech seem to thick stock thickness has its limits around 800hp

stock l92 castings are 5/8ths if not mistaken, aftermarket castings are 3/4ths thick

you wont have a problem with a 200 shot of dope on a stock casting deck!
