stroker setup
i am saving up for a stroker to put in my magnacharged 1500 rc/sb sierra.
i am looking for a 408+/-ci. i am alos wondering if i can use my 5.3 heads with upgraded valvetrain, or if i need to have em ported. and what will be my new compression ratio if i reuse 5.3 heads and with how much dish will i need to get around 9-9.5:1 comp ratio. cam?

You'd have a 333 cubic inch 5.4L (assuming a .030" over clean up) screaming hand grenade that makes little to no power below 2k rpms. You'd need a forged crank and rods to sustain spinning the short block that high all the time, and I don't know of any company that makes forged 83mm rotating assemblies for a 4.000-4.030" bore. Not worth the expense unless you're circle track racing your truck or are joining a club that limits displacement as sanctioning rules of the track.
