they will run about 4k +. They should be ready for normal release in about a month or so.

lunati has been offering large stroke cranks. price is the main concern.

I'm VERY interested in seeing what these will be capable of in about 500ci of N/A Hp/Tq Of course the boosted and nitrous variety will be very impressive as well...

Food for Thought. Very interesting to me. This is with the RHS Block (which requires quite a few special parts including timing chain set) but still relative to the topic at hand.

Using said "gorilla" piston, a 500 shot is child's play. Lol.
They are using a smaller CI engine (to keep the CH good) and more than likely to keep some of the extra cost down. This seems like a really good setup. At just a little more than a normal LSX short block, it could make some killer power.

Short update. We have built a 478 out of the tall deck, but we had to go with a smaller BC camshaft. GM didnt raise the cam tunnel, so it causes some interesting situations. We are also going ahead with a 502 engine as well here pretty soon. We hope to have the 478 done in just a little bit. When we do, ill post the specs of the build and if we can get it together, what this monster will put out.

Hey John, this is the first time I've see this thread, too bad I didn't see it a few months ago. I actually bought a LSX TD in march prior to spec'ing out the costs of the build and when I got into the nitty gritty of it, I ended up selling the block a month later. This thread probably would of kept me on track, however one problem that I ran into that hasn't been addressed yet and am interested in some feedback is concerning Exhaust manifolds. Due to the additional height that the heads will be, no aftermarket exhaust will fit on the blocks without clearance issues with the frame or what not. Do you know of anyone having made anything aftermarket wise for this block?

This is a thread I started back in March

I know that the TDs are gaining alot of interest and there will prob be some headers quite soon.

To add some more eye candy, we just made this beast. Its on the shelf now. Waiting.
