After all the research I did, seemed that the 862, 706 heads with the smaller intake valves lost too much velocity with the tbss intake and seemed to make those engines slower. It's a good mod to be paired with 799, 243 heads I think.

If you change the injectors it will need a custom tune also. Really needs one either way due to switching to a returnless fuel rail setup.

Not to ruin this thread, but is there a difference between the 08+ GMT900 and the TBSS intake manifolds?

I was planning on P&Ping my heads and wanted to upgrade IM at the same time. I've seen an ACDelco, a Dorman and another generic replacement for fairly decent prices on eBay and was wondering what would be the issue(s) running those style intakes.

Not much around the junkyards here. Most of the GMT800's I've seen are V6 models or pre-05 and offer no upgrade for me. There are zero GMT900's sitting around to scrounge from either...so my options are limited.

Your stock injectors will work plug and play in the tbss rails t bodies I have a 90 mm nick Williams but there expensive ebay has cheaper ones with not much difference one made in USA one made in china I did my swap and I had 862 heads so I have a hard time believing that It makes it slower and for the vette filter I think it's a 98 vette filter and yes it's a direct plug and play no mods

The Nick Williams 92mm cable driven TB is what I'm using, with a little modification the throttle bracket they sell can be used as well. The Vette FPR will plug right onto the rail but it will be a tight fit up against your firewall. I am using a 5.3 take off intake and it works fine. I still have the drive by wire Throttle body if anyone wants it. I made a fuel line cross over and mounted the rail 180 degrees off. That kept me from having to modify the rail. I did and Evap delete and mine was new enough not to have EGR, so no problem there. some guys loop fuel line around front to back, some guys cut and shorten the fuel inlet. I just found this to be an easy solution that didn't involve any alteration to the rail. I'm using my 8.1L marine delco injectors with no fitment problems. I needed a tune anyway cause it is a all new set up so no problem there,

Mine did fit tight and I didn't turn it or mod it i just plugged and played but after awhile I did take it off and beat in my fire wall a bit haha and she fits great and evap I cut the existing lines and used hose and clamps to attack it to the vacuum nipple right behind the t body and I made my oun cable bracket so I don't know bout that but as far as the gas line it's an easy thing

Ok enlighten me, I am not real familiar with the corvette filter setup. I know that is being used due to your truck being a return setup with a returnless fuel rail but where is the pressure regulated at? Returnless is intank and return is typically on rail unless running a aftermarket regulator.

I was thinking the same thing. No vacuum line hooked to the filter/regulator.

Perhaps with good tuning a vacuum referenced fuel pressure regulator isn't needed?

Who makes cable TB's that will work with this intake and with the stock throttle and cruise cables?

Are the fuel injectors the same height?

Here's one I may end up using this one:
