Texas Sp cam v TR cam ????

Default Texas Sp cam v TR cam ????

Ok I took my truck to the shop to see what that ticking sound was....And I found out my lifter took a dump and resurfaced my cam Now looking at a new cam the Texas Speed 220/558 and the TR 220/551 whats the differance and is a 224 to big for a 5.3 and while its there it will be getting stalled and LTs please lmk dont want the truck down to long its my DD...Thanks

if you have teh springs for .58x lift i would run 220xer @112

Well my old cam was .558 so a Xer will be good..I have Patriot golds.

A 224 cam would be fine with the stall and long tubes. The 5.3's really like the 220 and 224 cams. Whatever you choose I'd get the 112 lsa.

whats your truck a RCSB or a ECSB if its a RCSB id do the 224 if its a ECSB id do the 220 you'll have to run a bigger stall with the 224 but thats just like they say if ya wanta play you gotta pay

I went with the the 220 and Im putting in a 3200 stall...

^^ good choice. I think a 224 cam for a 5.3L is just a bit too big if you don't have worked heads. If you do have worked heads then the 224 will work real good.

None the less, exellent choice.
