Right lol. I hope my 60e was built on Wednesday. I was thinking about that to.
Man I just want to do something with the 4.8 while it's in the truck and running great I would hate to fix it if it ain't broke. It's been a great truck great engine. I fill it needs some love. Lol. I think I might throw the cam, and .030 heads when they come back from the machine shop on there and build the ol 5.3 with a set of p&p 243's.

That's were its hard for me I think a freshened up 5.3 would be so much better with everything. Then a 175k 4.8.

Yea throw some nitrous at it, learn how it all works on the 4.8L so if you make a mistake with it, you will know not to repeat it on the 5.3

Oh on the ported heads for 5.3L you could port them your self or get a set of Texas Speed and Performance CNC stage 2.5 5.3L heads. They flow really awesome for the price $1200ish and come with dual springs ready to bolt directly on the motor.

On the converter I'm thinking 3000/3200.

TPS heads are awesome but I don't have that ***** of money to throw on the heads. I might port the 862's but I can always changes heads later.

If I go to TPS I'll cam a new cam and heads. Seems like a way better deal. And get a bigger cam but that in the future. After I do something with a 01 cobra 4v engine. And the 4.8. I have always wanted a Lsx mustang. 4.8 might go to something like that. There is no telling what is going to happen from now till then.

If you are tight on money do your research DIY videos and port the heads in your free time. If you mess up horrible a new set is usually a $100.

I installed flex a lite e fans got a good deal on them. I have them working on a flip switch b/c the automatic sensor switch they provided constantly turns on and off in traffic drove me crazy! The install was pretty easy minus taking the time for electrical work, but instructions are plenty clear.

A lot of people run factory e fans and buy the connection harness also, but "Know what size radiator you have!" for e fan selection. You wont notice any dramatic gains, maybe a slightly more sensitive throttle, but they clear up a lot of room and dual fans can push way more air through than the factory fan, which is a total win in summer time boat towing in Texas!

Ok I live in Fort Worth so I feel your pain. I hate the sound and no room to do anything.

I have been collecting my parts only have a couple more things to get (l/t's, and the circle d converter ). Ok I see everyone going with pacesetter long tubes, why is that? Is it cost? I know the TSP stainless steel headers are awesome
