Default tick tick tick tick

can some one help me figure out what the tick is. it comes it goes and it annoys the crap out of me.

i have had this tick for about a year now. maybe a bit less. when you first start it there is no real tick. about 2-3seconds later it starts. then as it idles the tick comes and goes. like tick tick tick tick ..................tick tick tick.......

its on the passenger side frontish. when its cold and i drive it the tick gets louder and faster with rpm and load. but when warm its not too bad. i have replaced lifters and cam and springs. when i first put in the cam the tick went away for a while but a month after it came back. but even when it was "gone" it was still kinda there. just quieter it seemed.

It has nothing to do with the crack, it's the thinness of the stainless steel that amplifies and transmits the valvetrain noise. Have you had headers on your tahoe before? When I had headers it sounded like I had a rod knocking if you got near the passenger wheel well. I put the stock thick iron manifolds back on and the noise was gone.

but when i first installed the turbo it never made a sound. it wasn't till about a years later that it started. and when i welded up the crack it went away. there was still the valve racket but not the tap tap tap. here is a vid from when it first started. http://user.streetfire.net/video/tur...tap_636916.htm

Maybe it has cracked again in an area that you can't see with it installed.
