So the cam provides .502 and .510 then you have 1.6 rollers? That seems like alot for a set of vortec heads. I guess the shop had to machine the valve guides or something?

The heads were completely worked. Heavy duty springs, increased spring pressure, stainless valves and seats. They were ported, opened up and flowed.

I am stoked, We had a bad flex-plate (shattered) replaced it, now we are replacing the harmonic balancer (orignal over machined at factory) and hopefully thats all. When you coming down to see us?

MCDiver, I was reading your thread and noticed some comparison's between my build and yours but, im having some issues i was hoping maybe you could answer.

Are you having any idleing problems, or did you and if so how did you correct them? Idling problems, like the motor takes a while to hold a good idle or is missing the idle and you have to feather the gas pedal.

Also I was also wondering who did all of your final custom tuning? What a/f ratio are you running at, what kind of compression ratio do you have, and was there anything else done to the fuel injection side other that swapping the old spiders for the new injector poppet type spiders?

I know its alot of questions, but i have alot of similarities to your motor and you've got 70 more hp than i do to the wheels and i was hoping your info. could help me sold some of my issues with lack of power or give me more ideas on how to get more.

BTW: have you run it down the track yet?
