The top pic is what is advertised on the site I purchased it from as to be the difference. The bottom pic is the actual pic of the difference. Apparently they do have the LS2 chain in at least 05 up.

The heavier duty LS2 style chain was indeed introduced across the line in 2005. It is also supposedly the same chain as was originally designed and marketed as the C5R chain.

ME! I want to change it out and put a cam in while its getting changed but haven't had a chance to think about it here lately. my truck isn't modded like yours though. mods and mileage in sig. I would eventually like to boost it in some way (prob turbo) but thats a ways down the road.

ever heard of a stocker breaking? don't want to mess w/ the o ring if i'm not going to gain much strenghth. wants the stongest single roller? if i change it i want the best.

Failures are uncommon but then they let go, they tear stuff up. If you're lucky, its just a few kissed valves. If you're unlucky like this guy, well sorry

I cant find the thread on LS1tech about it, but it was a GTO just cruising down the highway, heard a loud bang and then this

$40 for an in-stock item at most dealerships is well worth it IMHO. Same with rod bolts if you plan to spin it up
