I did lots of towing with a 215/227 116lsa Comp LSL lobed cam. Dumb *** me wanted a bigger cam. I have it now and wished I still had the old one. The heads on the motor were ported 243's which flow basically the same as stock LS3 heads. I had a TVS on top, but it needed no boost towing 5K unless I was in a really big hurry.....and you really don't need to be in a big hurry towing. Near perfect manners and good fuel eco too.
Lingenfelter's GT11 cam is a 215/231 118 lsa cam using the ultra high lift LSK lobes. Lots of folks swear by it blown and n/a. I wouldn't use the LSK lobes, but those specs using LSL lobes and a slightly tighter lsa would make a good all 'round towing/dd cam for a 6.0L. It would play nice with a belt driven blower too.

.600 lift on a DD friendly truck used for a ton of miles isnt a great idea. Thats why i like the trucker cam, not a lot of lift, mild mannered. I know someone with a 5.3 an trucker cam stock everything down to intake tube. All it has is 3:73s and a tune (on 22s), it was hanging on the back bumper of a 99-100mph truck every punch off

The v spings in my motor have well over a hundred thousand miles on them. Pushrods around a hundred. Lifters had 80 K and looked fine when I rebuilt the motor (I changed them though). All these miles with cams with over .600 lift. The difference between .585 and .600 lift is about the thickness of 4 sheets of paper.
