sounds good. I haven't done a converter install on any late models. Is it much different than swapping a t/c from a TH350? I wouldn't imagine so.

thanks for the info

I helped do my first late model a couple of months ago. It's not much different.

sweet. I might just do the t/c first. If I don't like how it drives I'll just sell it. Anyone have a better deal than 525 on the tt3000?

only if you find it used. Yank only sells direct.

TT3000 is a nice stall even with a stock cam.

have yall had any side effects using the stall while towing? that's my number one concern to be honest.

I haven't had a chance to tow anything yet, but the yank is such a tight converter I don't really expect any problems.

have any of yall used TCI torque converters? I've always been pleased with their products, but never used a t/c from them. The one I'm lookin at is p/n TCI-242931. 490 shipped aint bad.

TCI stalls are soso but kinda known to not last a real long time. They are not worth the money thats for sure.
If you gonna cam get a damn stall. I mean hell the stock cam doesn't make any power until over 3k rpms but if you go with something a decent bit larger it will be a dog down low. Simple as that.
Get a stall that way we don't have to read a thread about how your truck is slow at take off haha.
