If I was to put a TR 220/220 112 LSA cam in a 4.8 or a 5.3, would i need a torque convertor?

Would the Yank TT2600 also be too small?

you could maybe get by with that.
you'll really need the tt3000.

I am pretty sure that the tb stall is going to be close to the yank 2600. I would say a 3000 stall for that cam to make up for the low end loss,

Whether it is enough or not, it really depends on your goals/usage. If it's just your little bad *** DD, a 2600 may be fine and you may even step down with the cam size. If you're looking for 1.70 60's w/ your 5.3L and a 220* cam, a 3600+ may be what you're after.

I used a Yank3400-10.5'' converter which flashes to roughly 2700RPM along with my 220* cam and it was 'enough' on the street. At the track, the results weren't the best. I was able to drop a good 3 tenths by swapping over to my current Yank that flashes to 3200. And I think I have another 2-3 tenths just in the way this thing launches

...just give us a few more details

I'm trying to keep the stall low because of gas. The truck that I'll be doing this to is a DD. I have a list of mods that I'm plan on doing. I'll be putting in CompCam 918 springs, TR220 cam, some sort of stall, and 3.73 gears soon. And eventually Procharger the motor (which I'll need to get injectors for this mod as well). I'm hoping to have high 300 hp/torque on a 5.3 or a 4.8 motor.

Would gearing make up some difference in low end? I have been eye-balling this cam spec for some time. I have a TT2600 and 4.10 gears. I hate the idea of buying another converter (even though I know the 2600 would be a quick sell).
