how would the trickflow 220/224 575/575 112 run in a 4.8? think it would pull harder than my tr220-114?? just curious, dont plan on takin out my tr220 just curious on ppls opinion of this cam.

The trickflow cam powerband may be a tad higher. Overall I think the TR220 is a superior cam.

I was just looking at that TrickFlow cam today in consideration for my LQ9...don't know too much about the lobes or who grinds them, but I doubt that you'd notice much difference between that cam and the TR220. The TF has more lift so you may notice a few extra HP up top, and the 112 LSA should bring the power on a tad sooner than the 114, as well as provide more overlap and a more peaky power curve yielding bigger numbers, but the specs are so close I'd think that the power production from both cams would also be similar.

One thing to remember, Thunder's lobes are their own proprietary lobes and well known throughout the LS community as proven performers

That sounds like a nice cam...bet it would do good in a 4.8 with a 3400-3600 converter...or be a good option for my future setup too

Hey Bud, if your seriously wanting a TF cam, Let me know, my friend has a " friend" who works there. I just couldnt get a custom grind thru them . But they have STG 1 2 and 3 cams depending on what you want.

I have it in my LQ4. It is fun. More like an XER lobe. Strong midrange.
