Tryin for 12's N/A w/cam only 5.3...
Ok guys, its not at all that unheard of but my problem is i'm at 3000+ ft altitude. Its a challenge out here. I think i'm gunna go with 4.56 gears, 3600 stall, pacesetter lt's with ory and probably aem cai. The cam is what i'm not sure of yet... I'm thinkin a tr 224 or 228.. What do you guys think? Will that get me there? Give me your thoughts if you think there's a better way. Thanks.

I agree with AP, you may be better off with 4.10's than the 4.56's depending on your tire height. Maybe even 4.30's, also depending on the height of your tires and the rpm's you’re going to try and achieve crossing the line. I am running 4.56's, but my tire height is very close to 32" tall and still it feels like I just blow right through 1st and really starts pulling good once it's in 2nd. Of course I may be full of it, as it is deceiving; because it still lays down good times and being AWD it hardly spins at all, 10ft to 15ft at the most.

mods in sig netted me a best of 13.6....... the truck had a few issues and the converter is pretty tight..... with a looser converter and some more tuning i should be very close to a 12. as said above, a custom grind cam and a 3800+ stall will get you there no problem

I've been thinkin, i think i'm gunna look for some 4.30 gears and run between 28 and 30 inch tires. That ought to leave me room in third to run n2o and not worry about hitting overdrive before the quarter mile. But what about the cam? Split duration or not?
