TSP 441, 429 or 418
Are there any experiences out there with these engines? I'm thinking of replacing the Denali's 6L with one. I got a little overzealous with the meth a couple of days ago and cracked/broke the #2 piston (finally) trying to get 23* out of it... . The sc is a rotrex -81 which surprisingly was pushing 175kpa with a cam that had 9* overlap, not bad for the little belt driven snail.
I'm thinking LS9 heads, rotrex sc 5-6psi w/ 11:1 compression, meth, a TR TRutorq Lvl 5 cam@ 227/239 .614/.621 115, or the LS3@ 224/236 .609/.607 117 and the stock truck intake w/LS3 tb, stock 373 gears.
The truck is used for towing jet skis/DD. I may go with a 6l80 trans/Tcase if someone out there would trade for a lvl7 FLT w/PT3200 yank.
I thinking about doing away with the sc all together, it would make an awesome blower for a 4.8. The highest intake temps I saw(probe in manifold) was 122* 7.5 lower/ hu 85mm.
Input is appreciated, I know tsp makes quality engines...
