It will work but if it were me id go 10in 3200 for a daily, the gears are fine but i think you would like the 10in converter alot better with that cam.

Peak power will be easer to make with the v2 cause its a bigger cam but the 228 with do better under the curve, if you go v2 with a 3600 to 4000 stall would be the setup i would go with, my cam is a 232 236 comp xer so its almost the same as a v2 and i have a 4000 stall and love it, its a perfect cam-stall combo for my ls1. chose what stall you want before your cam, a 6.0 can take alot more cam then just a v2 if your willing to put enuf stall in it. I say 228 with a 3600 or smaller and v2 with 3600 or bigger..

I agree as far as it drives even a 3200 would work, i guess what i ment to say is as far as track times you need a 3600+ stall to make the v2 work real good. If its a bit lugish off the line and you pick up no et over what the 228 would then theres no need for the bigger cam unless you street race alot, i see the v2 doing better on the street.

quit bragging! haha all jokes aside that 228 pulls good in a 5.3

i would go v2 and a 3600 with a 6.0. imo
