Well after all this I found a truck for $2,000....its a totaled truck. The guy won't sale just motor and trans, I might be picking it up in a couple weeks. Has a stock 6.0 with 20,xxx miles on it and the trans. Would the TR224xe be a good choice? What have you guys have better luck with cam wise in a 6.0?

Tr224 is a great choice, are you going to get a new stall?

I run a 224/224 on 112lsa and a ss3600 converter. It rocks in my opinion. I wish I could get some times on it, but traction is non existent at this point.

I have the same problem..even at 45 mph.. for a 6.0 comps 224/228 would be a decent cam..5.3 cant go wrong with the already proven tr224 cam

I do to, but that's because my truck's nickname is IHop. 1 leg,1 tire fire.

I've never floored my truck from a dead stop with the 6.0. With 3.42s and some 30" michelins it would light up the tires thru the intersection with just a half throttle jab.....so I didn't even both trying full pedal Now the 31.5" 285s Proxes that's a different story it will chirp the tires but nothing like the michelins. I'm not sure if this is due to the effective decrease in gear ratio or simply grippier tires. I can't even imagine how most of you 2wd guys get traction off the line with 350+ rwhp
