Default Update on the Edelbrock LS-XT pro flo intake (UPDATED WITH PICS 4-19)

first off everything that could go wrong has gone wrong I will post up some photos later tonight when I get home. My first problem summit sent the wrong ends for my fpr so no installing that. Next the 3/8 npt thread inside the fuel rails and the 3/8 npt fittings do not jive together. I ve run a tap through the fuel rail and it goes through fine and the fitting goes through the die just fine. When I put the 2 together I only get about 3 turns out of the fitting. Lastly truck injectors will not work, they are to short to use the brackets and to tall not to use them. The only way I even got the truck injectors to seat properly was using an old stock one that I pulled off the end cap (black cap by the spraying end) other wise that gets caught on the injector ports. They do have a bracket for the map sensor, and a total of 5 vacum ports. I will have some photos up later but I all in have not made much progress, (waiting on injectors, pigtails, and summit) so I will keep you updated with the progress.

I am sure you will get the bugs worked out.

That sucks man, sorry to hear that. I thought that I remembered reading in the original thread that the truck injectors would not work with this intake....

if so I can not find one way or the other to make it work. Edelbrock website says "Fuel Rail Kit for LS Series Chevy (Compatible with Standard or Pico injectors)" are truck injectors pico or is this the square bosch injectors?

if you look where the fuel rail connect to the intake that is where the whole problem is. When I go back to my Moms I will take pics with the injectors in the rail and on the intake. With out the plastic tip on the injector you can get it to seat but then the holes in the rail and intake do not match. if you have the plastic cap on the injectors they will not seat. They do provide the brackets for use with the ls1 style tall injector.

Looks like you can change the knock sensors without removing the intake.

I like. I think I need to get one of these. I would like to see some dyno charts to see where the powerband is on it and how it compares to some of the other aftermarket and factory intakes. I know what edelbrock claims but I would like to form my own opinion.
