valve spring failure...
well one of my patriot extreme dual .660 spring retainers let go but the locks held so the valve didnt drop... my cam is under .600 lift...

yea truck was making a clicking sound and i didnt like it so i pulled the valve cover.. its the patriot extreme dual valve springs, rated at .660 lift, titanium retainers and locks...

atleast you got it figured out!
I broke all 8 of my patriot intake springs on the last motor. (my fault) drove it till I had no vacuum lmao. Luckily the retainers held and it didn't drop a valve. Few hours later, set of springs, and the proper bases I was back in business haha.
