What is the difference??

You didn't...... ***!
Sadly, those are too expensive for me.
I agree with you, 100%.
6500 rpm for me as well, and the engine sees 6500 on a regular basis. But I've gotten the itch to push things farther than I probably should, so I'm looking for "cheap insurance"(if that makes any sense....)
This is true, although the GENIII's generally don't shine down low N/A, and are stouter in stock form than the sbc's of old, in that they can rev higher in stock form without as much concern. Personally, I'd feel fairly confident taking my stock bottom end to 6500 regularly (if my setup called for it), and I know for sure that many here have gone much higher than that without worry

I wouldn't call 6500 too high for a stock shortblock, as LS rods are stouter than SBC rods in pretty much everyway......I know I took my LS1 to 7K with a Trex cam daily for a couple of years with no problems. It did spin a rod bearing in the end, but it also had 50K miles of abuse, on top of 75K miles of previous owner abuse......
With the Katech rod bolts, they claim you don't have to resize the big end of the rods.
