this is something that I've been contemplating also.

I've got 3.23 gears also. Difference is he's got a modded 4.8, and I've got a stock 5.3 LM7.

From his sig: 2006 ECSB 4.8, LT's, ORY, Wheatley tuned, 3" exhaust w/ Magnaflow cat, Dynomax bullet w/ Corsa tips

OK, I've got the Wheatley tune and a muffler back exhaust. I've got a pair of Mac Midlength headers and an Off Road Y-pipe, but I'm not sure if I want to do that...

I eventually want to do an STS with a small turbo...

I've been considering swapping 4.56s with a spool into my 96 Impala SS to replace the aftermarket 4.10s and Eaton posi. Then what would I do with those 4.10s and Eaton?

go with the rear first, you will be pissed if you put in a cam and the grenade 80 takes a ****, and takes out your stock gears. and not to mention possibly your trans too......

My wife and I love Stevie Ray, we have a big picture of him in our living room (it's pretty much the focal point of the room I believe...at least it is for me). My cell phone ringtone is SRV's "Pride and Joy"

agree on TT and Gears before cam.

would bumping up from 3.73's to 4.10s make that big of a difference?
or would 4.56's hurt my MPGs too much?
