that 228 cam will do just fine for what your looking. IMO, not enough people have shown proven dyno/track results (with no other variables) on the other intake manifolds to consider swapping myself... I'd see where the truck manifold gets you

yes the nnbs intake and tb will fit but you will need the torquerush x link adaptor which is around $189 no biggie saying you can get the intake and flex fuel inj's which are 33lbs for around $150 to $200 dollars then you will need a set of us minicar adaptors for the inj's I will pm you where to get them from later.

the lq9 has better compression than the lq4 so a 228 sounds like a good fit but i doubt it would fare better than a 224 with a 3200 stall and 3.73s. less bottom end also.

You're going to have a tough time making 400rwhp 400rwtq from an LQ9 unless you bolt on better heads and swap in a wild cam. Focus less on the camshaft and invest more in the heads.

The "224" cam referenced in this thread is the Thunder Racing 224/224 camshaft. There are, without a doubt, better cams out there but nothing compares to a custom grind. Get in touch with a head flow & valvetrain expert if you want to make the most out of your combo, which means you will have to leave the vendors of this website in order to get what you want.

today i took off the heads, lifters, oil pump, cam tomorrow i'll give her a wash job.
i relly wanna keep the stock heads in tell i can get so more money so if i can't get 400rwhp without some $1400 heads then what ever i can get for now will be good...
